The wkout that never happened
Today was supposed to be the first day of my new wkout schedule. Well, that didn't happen. Last week I scheduled a physical for today at 2 pm. They called me and let me know that I would need to be fasting for 8 hrs before I came. Last night I ate my last meal at 8:30 and then woke-up with an awful headache. To my dismay the fasting made it worse and so I took a nap with Conner that lasted 3 hrs and NOW I feel better. Now that it's 7:30 pm. Any way the physical went fine and I get the results back from the lab in a few days. So I will start all of what I wanted to do today, tomorrow.

My goals for 2009, so far...
On the right side of my blog I will be putting new goals I will be wking on. Right now the next race I will run is in April. As you can see it is the SLC half-marathon. Last year I ran the 5k and I promised myself at that time I would run the half the next year. Well next year is now this year and so my training begins again. Also, you will notice that I have put the RAGNAR relay. My ward is doing this with me. It is 180 miles! I wanted to do the Ogden Half-marathon, but the RAGNAR is shortly after that and I have already promised to do that one. I don't want to wear myself out. If you click on the picture it will take you to the link of that race, if you're interested in checking it out. I will continue to look for different races throughout the year to do, that is until I get pregnant and can't anymore. Here's to a year of health and racing!

I DID IT!!!!!!!!
I am back from Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. The half-marathon was great! I'm really not even sore anymore, Thank goodness. Ok so how did it go? In truth I only ever ran a total of 6 -7 miles before I went so I was REALLY nervous about being bale to finish. I am happy to report that not only did I finish I finished in better time than I thought I would. I avg a 14-15 min mile more or less and finished in 3:18:50. You have 3 hrs and 30 min to finish the race. I thought I was going to finish right before the 3:30 mark. My feet were killing me at the end and my legs were SO tired. Emotionally I was spent. It was harder emotionally at the end than it was physically. I was just spent. The truth is I can't wait to try again. I want to be able to train more seriously and make better time than I did this time. It was one of the MOST awesome things I have ever done and I feel VERY good about the whole thing. Pictures to come...

1 Day left
We leave tomorrow. I run on Sat. The weather looks to be promising and hopefully I can get this thing done. I'm a bit anxious and scared about the whole thing. I just want to finish in the time I have been given. After the run I think I want to go celebrate...Dancing anyone?
